Summary:
Primary responsibility is teaching physics at the high school level. The ideal candidate will have earned a master’s degree in Physics or a master’s degree in any field with 18 graduate hours in Physics.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with a Physics endorsement. License eligibility may be met through any of the following routes:
- Completed an approved teacher preparation program in physics;
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in physics from an accredited institute;
- Completed 32 semester hours in physics coursework; or
- Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institute with at least 5 years of documented full-time experience in physics/engineering and pass the content assessment prescribed by the VDOE
Salary:
Range for the 2024-2025 school year is $53,000 - $79,287 with additional supplemental pay for a graduate degree. The salary may be adjusted based on the budget for the 2025-2026 school year.
