Summary:
Seeking certified teachers to deliver summer curriculum in reading and math during the summer.
Qualifications:
- Implement math and English curricula and activities to meet academic standards
- Utilize formal assessment data to refine and adapt curriculum lessons and inform instructional practices
- Develop daily engaging lesson plans aligned to specific learning objectives
- Deliver relevant, engaging, and rigorous lessons utilizing a variety of instructional methods
- Maintain an organized and efficient classroom
- Adhere to all district professional expectations and compliance issues
- Create a positive, achievement-oriented, organized and engaging learning environment
- Motivate students to high academic and behavioral expectations
- Provide consistent rewards and/or consequences for student behavior grounded in positive discipline
- Empower students to make positive choices and serving as a role model
- Be accountable for meeting individual academic and instructional needs
- Implement collaborative and co-teaching instructional strategies with Instructional Assistants
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and summer school staff
- Have knowledge and comfort with using technology
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Valid state teaching license required
- Previous and relevant experience in utilizing and implementing data-driven instructional practices
- Experience in the use of technology for assessment and instruction
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of differentiated instructional practices and strategies
- Proven track-record of high achievement in a classroom setting
- Mastery of and enthusiasm for academic standards and instructional rigor
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Committed to the goals of the program and approach
Salary:
$30 an hour

Student days June 12 - 29 (off on Fridays & June 19). Six hours per day.
