Summary: 

 

Seeking certified teachers to deliver summer curriculum in during the summer.

 

Qualifications:

  • Implement math and literacy curricula and activities to meet academic standards
  • Utilize formal assessment data to refine and adapt curriculum lessons and inform instructional practices
  • Develop daily engaging lesson plans aligned to specific learning objectives
  • Deliver relevant, engaging, and rigorous lessons utilizing a variety of instructional methods
  • Maintain an organized and efficient classroom
  • Adhere to all district professional expectations and compliance issues
  • Create a positive, achievement-oriented, organized and engaging learning environment
  • Motivate students to high academic and behavioral expectations
  • Provide consistent rewards and/or consequences for student behavior grounded in positive discipline
  • Empower students to make positive choices and serving as a role model
  • Be accountable for meeting individual academic and instructional needs
  • Implement collaborative and co-teaching instructional strategies with Instructional Assistants
  • Communicate  effectively with students, families, and summer school staff
  • Have knowledge and comfort with using technology

 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. 
  • Valid state teaching license required
  • Previous and relevant experience in utilizing and implementing data-driven instructional practices
  • Experience in the use of technology for assessment and instruction

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of differentiated instructional practices and strategies
  • Proven track-record of high achievement in a classroom setting
  • Mastery of and enthusiasm for academic standards and instructional rigor
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Committed to the goals of the program and approach

 

Salary: 


$30 an hour

Position Start:

 

Student days June 10-27, 2024 (off on Fridays & June 19).  Six hours per day.
