Summary:
Specific responsibilities will include preparation for a successful summer program, staff hiring and support, scheduling, maximizing enrollment, working with transportation/nutrition/administrative offices, curriculum training, supervision of all staff and students, completion of program reports, providing strong fiscal management, and maintaining a positive school climate.
Qualifications:
- Pre-program planning (hiring, schedules, set-up, transportation/nutrition set-up, curriculum consultation)
- Ability to identify staff learning needs, and design and deliver appropriate individualized or group professional development and coaching to meet needs.
- Program management of daily operations (assign classes, daily schedules for academics, processing payroll, student learning and behavior, etc.)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and adjust/adapt practices as needed.
- Evidence of efficacy and willingness to be a team player.
- Identify staff learning needs and develop just-in-time, appropriate individualized or group professional development and coaching to meet needs
- Work with curriculum and instruction staff to ensure the implementation of differentiated instructional practices in both literacy and mathematics
- Work with the curriculum and instruction staff to ensure uniformity and timeliness of assessments and family reporting
- Ability to create opportunities for summer learning through real world activities and experiences.
Education and Experience:
- Administrative Degree preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Valid state teaching certification
- Previous and relevant experience in utilizing and implementing data-driven instructional practices
- Experience working in a school environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Evidence of efficacy and willingness to be a team player.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
- Ability to coach teachers and instructional assistants.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- Summer administrators will supervise and support site-based teachers, teacher assistants, nurses, and staff
- Responsible for training staff on professional, academic, and behavioral expectations
- Responsible for submission of staff payroll documentation
- Ability to analyze assessment data to inform instruction and instructional grouping
Salary:
$35 per hour
